Account Hierarchy Management Section

The Account Hierarchy options manage parent–child account relationships (e.g., Acme Corp and its subsidiaries).

Why it matters:

Ensures account families stay assigned to the same rep for consistency and enterprise coordination.

Follow Parent (Toggle)

When ON:

Child accounts automatically follow their parent account’s territory assignment.

Benefits:

Example:

Without Follow Parent With Follow Parent
Acme Corp Chicago → Rep A Acme Corp Chicago → Rep A
Acme Corp Dallas → Rep B ❌ Acme Corp Dallas → Rep A ✅

Exclusions (Logic Builder)

What it does:

Defines rules for which child accounts should not follow their parent when the “Follow Parent” toggle is enabled.

Why it matters:

By default, BoogieBoard keeps account families grouped together — the parent and all its children are assigned to the same territory. But that doesn’t always make sense. Some subsidiaries may operate in different regions, serve different markets, or be large enough to warrant their own rep.

This logic builder gives you fine-grained control to make exceptions to the default.
