What Gets Synced

Always Synced (BoogieBoard Custom Objects):

BoogieBoard Component Salesforce Destination Description
Territory Nodes BoogieBoard_Territory__c Full hierarchy with parent-child relationships
Account Assignments BoogieBoard_TerritoryMember__c Links accounts to their assigned territories
Rep Assignments BoogieBoard_TeamMember__c Links reps to their territory assignments
Temp Coverage BoogieBoard_TerritoryMember__c Additional records with -TEMP suffix for temporary coverage
Flattened Reporting BoogieBoard_Account_Assignment__c Denormalized view for easy reporting (one record per account)

Optionally Synced (Disabled by Default):

BoogieBoard Component Salesforce Destination Enable Setting Description
Account Owner Account.OwnerId “Manage Account Owner” Updates based on role priority. If a future transition start date exists, BoogieBoard normally waits to update owner unless temp coverage is active. The scenario setting “Update owner for single future territory” allows owner updates before the transition start date when the account has exactly one assigned territory; accounts with multiple assigned territories still wait for the transition date or temp coverage.
Role → Account Field Custom Account Fields Configure per Role Map roles directly to lookup fields
Team Members AccountTeamMember “Sync to Native Account Team” Native Salesforce account teams
Territory Model Territory2 (ETM) “Use Enterprise Territory Management” Salesforce’s native territory hierarchy

Note: The optional syncs update native Salesforce fields/objects that may trigger existing automation. Review the sections below for downstream implications before enabling.

Why BoogieBoard Custom Objects?

You might wonder: “Why does BoogieBoard create its own custom objects instead of using Salesforce’s native territory features?”

The answer is flexibility and advanced functionality. BoogieBoard’s custom objects enable capabilities that native Salesforce territory management cannot provide:
