Workflow 1: Reviewing Territory Balance After Planning
Goal: Ensure accounts are distributed fairly and handle exceptions.
Steps:
- Start on the "All Accounts" tab
- Review total account count in KPI widget
- Check Gained/Lost to understand changes
- Switch to "Exceptions" tab
- Review any accounts with errors
- Fix data quality issues or update territory logic
- Switch to "Unassigned" tab
- Review accounts without reps
- Manually assign or adjust capacity limits
- Switch to "Locked" tab
- Verify locked accounts are still strategic
- Unlock accounts that no longer need protection
- Export to Excel
- Share final territory data with leadership
Workflow 2: Manually Assigning Strategic Accounts
Goal: Lock high-value accounts to senior reps.
Steps:
- Filter the data grid
- Use column filter: Revenue > 10,000,000
- Result: Only enterprise accounts show
- Select accounts
- Check individual accounts or use header checkbox for all
- Verify selection count in toolbar
- Bulk assign
- Click "Assign / Lock"
- Select "Assigned Account Owner"
