Data Source Reps View

Location: /a/<team_slug>/data-sources/<uid>/update/home

In addition to importing accounts, a Data Source is also the vehicle for importing and automatically creating reps and role owners inside BoogieBoard. These role owners will be the actual people within your organization who get assigned a role, a territory, or a team assignment.

Rep View Widgets

Across the top of the Data Source Rep View you will find three widgets:

  1. Total Reps - The total reps that exist in BoogieBoard
  2. From Data Source - The number of reps imported from the Data Source
  3. Local Only - The number of reps created within BoogieBoard and not imported from the Data Source

Importing Reps from a CSV-Type Data Source

For CSV-Type Data Sources, the user is prompted to import reps from the CSV file. Action will target a specific column, dictated by the user, and isolate all the unique values from that column.

To import reps from a CSV, click the “Import from CSV” button and complete the following:

  1. Select the column that represents the Rep’s Unique ID - This is ideally a user or territory owner ID from your CRM. It can also simply be the column representing the Rep’s name, assuming there are not multiple reps with the same name (i.e. “John Smith”).
  2. Select the column that represents the Rep’s name.

You can map additional columns from the CSV file to Rep attributes (Email, Postal Code, Territory, etc), however, these are optional fields.
