Connecting Your Data

BoogieBoard is designed to make connecting and maintaining your data as seamless as possible. The Connecting Your Data section explains how to link your organization’s CRM or business systems to BoogieBoard, ensuring that your territory planning environment always reflects the most accurate, up-to-date information. Whether your team uses Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or a custom data source, BoogieBoard offers multiple ways to get your data in — from automated API integrations to quick, manual CSV imports.

This section will walk you through how to set up and manage those connections, including authentication, synchronization schedules, and field mapping. You’ll also learn best practices for maintaining data accuracy, handling updates, and optimizing imports for large datasets.

Available Connection Methods

BoogieBoard currently supports two primary data connection methods:

  1. Direct API Connection – Securely connects BoogieBoard to your CRM (e.g., Salesforce) for automated, nightly synchronization of accounts, users, and hierarchy data.
  2. CSV File Import – Ideal for teams without direct CRM access or for supplemental data sources. Simply export your data to a structured CSV file and upload it into BoogieBoard’s importer for instant analysis.

Data Security & Privacy

All imported and synchronized data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. BoogieBoard never stores CRM credentials directly; authentication tokens are securely managed through OAuth. Admins can revoke integrations at any time, and all data access is scoped by Workspace permissions.

BoogieBoard’s data handling practices are designed to meet enterprise-grade security standards, ensuring your customer and account data stays protected while remaining fully usable for territory design and analysis.
