BoogieBoard and Salesforce Integration
This guide shows you how BoogieBoard connects with Salesforce, how data maps from Salesforce into BoogieBoard, and how to manage data synchronization. This guide builds off the foundational information found in the Data Source section of BoogieBoard documentation:
Why Connect to Salesforce?
Connecting BoogieBoard with Salesforce allow the user to automate the import and export of principal data used in territory planning and ongoing management.
BoogieBoard uses on-demand data syncs to keep data current. ****The user decides exactly when data moves between systems. This approach provides:
- Full control – Sync only when you're ready.
- Predictable system load – No background jobs running unexpectedly.
- Change visibility – Review changes before pushing them to Salesforce.
- Flexible timing – Run imports and exports based on your own planning cycle.
Most teams trigger syncs after territory changes or before key Territory updates. Scheduled jobs are also available if needed.
What data syncs from Salesforce
- Default SObjects: By default, BoogieBoard imports all records from these Salesforce objects: Account, User, Opportunity.
- User-Specified SObjects: Salesforce objects imported into BoogieBoard via the SObject importer.
- SOQL Queries: Custom queries created by users in the BoogieBoard SOQL Query Builder.
- Account ownership, role assignments, and custom territory fields.
- Enterprise Territory Management rules and assignments.
